Harwood K. Smith designed this building which was built as apartments in 1952. Charles and Elaine Sammons purchased it in 1959 and made significant changes to the North building and added three wings, East, South, and West, in 1959. Most common areas were renovated in 1998 and the lobby, in 2004. The East and South Buildings are in Dallas and the others in Highland Park. Honestly, the Highland Park librarian will need to know your building before issuing you a library card.
Elaine preferred King Charles Spaniels, so it is indeed a pet-friendly building.
Like Park Plaza across the street, it is within easy walking distance of Whole Foods, and other retail.
Turnover is low in this building, especially units on the courtyard. I also like the floor plans on the first floor that look to Lomo Alto. |
