High-rise apartment living in Downtown Dallas: Interurban Building |
1500 Jackson St., Dallas, TX 75201 Map |
The Interurban system operated electrically driven trains between North Texas cities and this 8-story station with offices above opened on Jackson and Browder streets in 1916. After the automobile made that mode of transportation obsolete, it was a Continental Trailways terminal until 1987.
As the floors were devoted to offices, apartments now offer 11’ to 15’ ceilings with exposed duct work. |
