News is that there are to be 123 homes in 42 stories - tallest residential high-rise in Texas. Site in the “Arts District” is between the Nasher Sculpture Center and Meyerson Symphony Center.
I’ve spoken to the principals and architect and it sounds exciting. Here is how they describe it:
”Museum Tower will offer unparalleled privileges to those who call it home. Designed by visionary architect Scott Johnson and modeled after the clean, bold lines of a Doric column, Museum Tower is a 42-story structure representing a classic modern form derived from an intersection of ellipses. Wrapped by broad and curving glass sails, the sleek tower evokes understated and refined beauty while revealing - and complementing - sweeping views of Dallas.”
A June 2010 Dallas News article reports the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System has invested $200 million in Museum Tower and the owners now expect to be delivering units in 2½ years.
A June 2011 article covers the building, now well out of the ground, but reveals nothing specific about pre-sales.
WOW! Was on a hard-hat tour in January 2012 and the 40th floor views are awsome. See the photos I took. Owners decline to report sales other to say ahead of plan.
Originally, 125 units planned but buyers are combining them and will end up at about 115. |
